My Journey: From Online Summit to Podcast Success
My podcasting journey began unexpectedly during the early pandemic days when I organized an online summit featuring 20 coaches to uplift people. The success of that summit led to a weekly radio show, an opportunity I embraced despite having no prior experience. Driven by my curiosity and love for interviewing, I launched "Coffee with Karen: A Cup of Positivity with a Sprinkling of Woo Woo." However, I soon realized that for my podcast to deliver a return on investment, it needed to align more closely with my business objectives.
A Hard Lesson: The Podcasting Reality
A pivotal moment in my journey was the email I received from a podcast host in my network deciding not to renew their show. By then, 14 others had also given up. This experience taught me a harsh truth: 90% of podcasters don’t make it past three episodes, and of those who do, 90% fail to reach 20. This realization prompted me to reevaluate my approach, ensuring that my podcast directly supported my mission to help others grow and profit from their own shows.
